Most, if not all Trinidadian households must have a bottle of homemade pepper! It’s a given! I would admit that I prefer eating with raw pepper but having some homemade pepper on hand comes in quite handy sometimes!
Here’s my recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
15 hot peppers
5 cloves of garlic
5 large chadon beni leaves (culantro)
1/3 cup vinegar
1/2 lime juice
Salt to taste
DIRECTIONS:
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
NOTE: Mustard is also sometimes added but I personally prefer not to add it mine.
Food is where the heart is and the kitchen is my playground. Cooking is my passion but I also enjoy dining at restaurants and exploring various food places seeking new food experiences with my favorite side kick... my hubby.
