SINGAPORE NOODLES WITH CHICKEN

Singapore Noodles is one of my MUST HAVES whenever I am ordering from our local Chinese Restaurant here in Trinidad. If you are feeling adventurous however and would like to try this at home, here are the ingredients:

INGREDIENTS:

SAUCE: –

  • 3 cloves garlic, grated
  • ginger grated (can use as much as you like)
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1/4 tsp dark soy sauce

FOR CHICKEN –

  • 1 chicken breast cut into strips
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (can be adjusted)
  • pinch of JGM PRODUCTS Chinese seasoning

FOR VEGGIES:

  • 1 small onion
  • 2 pimentos sliced
  • cabbage
  • carrot
  • sweet pepper
  • 1/4 tsp JGM Products curry powder
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • pinch of salt or Chinese seasoning

NOODLES:

  • 4 oz rice noodles
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • pinch of salt or Chinese seasoning if necessary

NOTE:

I highly recommend the JGM Chinese seasoning for this recipe. It contains salt and also has other ingredients that are made especially for Asian dishes.

Remember that soy sauce will add a salty component to the dish so be mindful of this when adding salt or Chinese seasoning. To be safe, add salt or Chinese seasoning when you are just about finished cooking.

All other ingredients can be adjusted according to your preference.

I personally love a lot of sesame oil in Chinese food but you can adjust accordingly.
